Yehh!! I Overcame My Fears Prt B

10:25AM.   Itoro (my colleague) calls me out to the kitchen to talk. He said a lot but the one thing he said that got me was "Uju, this project, we all agreed that no other person can do it better than Uju, so hearing you say  ''You can't'' made me feel a lil disappointed at you cos we all see your inputs and level of confidence and you're a beauty with brains but you do not see the same with us really?"
Then my boss said to me ''Uju just do this even if you fail at it, at least you would have tried, you will learn from the mistakes'' sigh. I took in a deep breath and instantly i made up my mind to embrace my fears and shine through it....

12:00 AM Midnight. I was standing by the mirror reciting my lines and talking to myself over three hours right...yeah i didn't sleep. I practiced over and over again. I failed a couple of times but i kept practicing.

7:00AM I had my makeup done yeah, it was as loud as thunder storm as if i was seeking for confidence through my makeup. LOL I was as tensed as chalk but my makeup was lit sha.

9:00AMWe  drove to the venue yeah and i met the crowd all seated and waiting. I sat calmly but nervous as wreck...(Itoro beside me) i was still trying to calm down when i was called suddenly to make my presentation. haaaaa.lol

10:00AM I walked to the stage with the mic in my hands but  then the lady that handed the mic over to me said "wow uju i love your smile,makeup,charisma everything".....I blanked out!!!! All i kept doing was smile I even forgot my name...i was lost then i overheard some voices from the crowd and they were clapping and cheering me for just smiling. hehehehehe "fine girl!""Wow""Your too fine""can we marry you". Then i looked straight on to them with boldness and i confidently began........"Good Morning everyone my name is Uju........ and it went skriiiipa and i never stopped till i got everything done excellently and perfectly. I was so bold and delivered like a pro i am.

12:00PM standing ovation and applause, warm smiles and screams everywhere i could not stop smiling at my big victory. I MADE IT! I finally exhaled with a little tear in my eyes.



What are your fears darling??? You can overcome it. Just do it!
